My dog is a female German Shepherd she's about 8 or 9 years old. I heard somewhere that when dogs are older they aren't as dog aggressive anymore.

My dog is good with quiet, large-sized dogs. She is friends with a Husky puppy, and a Bernese Mountain Dog. She hates little barky dogs. She can't stand them.

I've been walking her close to other dogs, and she's really good. She doesn't bark as much at other dogs (unless they are walking down our street).

Except for the grey puppy incident (see dog chat lol), she loves seeing her doggy friends. She will actually sniff the BMD's nose, tail, shoulder and will lick its nose (how cute!). She will jump up on the fence and they will lick each others face! It's so cute. She will also lick the Husky's face. My dog will bark, but not in the "I wanna kill you" way. More like the "Aww! You're my friend! I like you!!" LOL!

Anyway, she's getting so much better. When we first got her from the shelter, the staff said that she was "good with other dogs"...well we found out shortly after adopting her, that she was deffinitely NOT fond of other dogs!

Here's a picture of her by the way. I wanted to get a movie of her with her doggy friends, but the BMD wasn't there when we were on our walk

Anyway, here's a picture of Annie:

Ignore the link on the picture. I made a website a while ago, but deleted it because I didn't need it anymore.

Sounds like she's doing well!

Older dogs tend to tolerate other dogs. I guess they just grow out of their dog aggression.

The dog sounds great. I would love to have a dog like her. With some training she could do SOOO well. Here's an idea. You probably won't be able to, but get another dog. Dogs get over the agression so much faster when they're used to other dogs living with them

What is wrong with saving a life?
There's never a time it won't be right,
So just keep it in mind next time you see,
Traces of animal cruelty
You Can stop it,
You can help,
Give those animals,
Back their help
